Earlier this year, the Department of Labor issued new versions of DOL ETA Form 9061 and ETA Form 9175. Employers file these forms to request WOTC employee certifications from their state workforce agency. As of October 1, 2023, employers may no longer use the old versions.
Well, at least that’s the official line. In reality, some agencies are less prepared than others to process the new versions – and some are still using the old version for their online applications. If you’re an employer, I recommend reconfiguring your WOTC program to use the new forms and allow the agencies time to catch up with you.
