Senators to Governor Brown: Save But Reform California Enterprise Zones!
On the tail of Governor Jerry Brown’s admission today that he did not yet have the votes needed for his budget reforms, we hear now from five Republican State Senators involved in the negotiations. The Republican Caucus of the California State Senate has made a PDF copy of the letter available on its website. It was signed by Senators Tom Berryhill of Oakdale, Sam Blakeslee of San Luis Obispo, Anthony Cannella of Ceres, Bill Emmerson of Hemet, and Tom Harman of Huntington Beach. (more…)

Bill Introduced to Expand California New Jobs Credit

Sacramento – Senator Bill Emmerson (R-Hemet) introduced Senate Bill 156, a job-creating measure intended to stimulate the economy by offering a $3,000 tax credit to small businesses for each new full-time employee hired.
