Good news is in from the WOTC Coalition. We have been patiently waiting for guidance about the WOTC program’s two newest eligibility categories. In a private publication, which we received today, Paul E. Suplizio, President of the WOTC Coalition, stated his belief that long-awaited guidance would probably come from the IRS and U.S. Department of Labor within the next two weeks. (more…)

This week, Susan Webb, president and co-founder of the National Employment Network Association (NENA), offered testimony about the Ticket to Work program before the US House Ways and Means Social Security Subcommittee. Workers referred to an employer through the Ticket to Work program constitute one of the WOTC program’s qualifying targeted groups. (more…)

For a short period last week, a new version of form IRS 8850 was available from the IRS website. Form IRS 8850 is the “Pre-Screening Notice and Certification Request for the Work Opportunity Credit.” The odd thing is, the form is no longer available. (We tried to download it this morning.) (more…)
