Mayor Marsha McLean of the City of Santa Clarita joined defenders of California’s Redevelopment Agencies and Enterprise Zones while speaking at a City Council meeting yesterday. Refering to Governor Jerry Brown’s draconian proposals to eliminate both programs as part of his balance-the-budget plan, McLean said
“Our enterprise zones have been a tremendous boon,” said McLean. “[Governor Brown] wants to abolish those as well. We know the budget has to be balanced but this isn’t the way to go.” (more…)PUBLISHED IN
