A fast-food legend passed away earlier this month at his home in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Glenn W. Bell, Jr., founder of the Taco Bell quick-serve restaurant concept, had suffered from Parkinson’s disease since 1985. He was 86 when he died. (more…)

On Wednesday, December 9th, the City of Santa Clarita announced its new Recovery Zone. Businesses within the Recovery Zone may be eligible for financial assistance through what’s called a Recovery Zone Facility Bond or RZFB. (more…)

The U.S. House of Representatives yesterday passed H.R. 4213, the “Tax Extenders Act of 2009”, which has now been sent to the U.S. Senate. The bill in its current form includes an extension of the WOTC program’s Hurricane Katrina provision, which would be extended through August 2010. It does not yet, however, contain other desired WOTC program provisions. (more…)
