Tax Extenders Update – Urgent Need for Action to Support WOTC in US House

The EXPIRE Act proposes to extend WOTC through 2015 and support for the bill in the Senate is strong; HOWEVER, proponents of the Work Opportunity Credit face a serious challenge in the House where the Ways and Means Committee is now taking up individual tax extender programs for evaluation. Congress Takes First Steps Toward 2013 Tax-Extenders Bill
The National Journal reported yesterday:
Legislators on Thursday unveiled a bicameral, bipartisan proposal to repeal and replace the sustainable growth rate formula, which determines Medicare payments for physicians. One expert called it “above and beyond” anything else he’s ever seen.
