An unnamed source “familiar with his budget proposal” revealed to the Sacramento Bee on Monday that Governor Jerry Brown’s yet to be revealed proposal includes plans to “wipe out hundreds of local redevelopment agencies” and to eliminate enterprise zones. (more…)PUBLISHED IN

Democrat Luis Alejo, of the 28th Assembly District published a Soapbox article today on TheCalifornian.com. Alejo was chosen by voters as a new member of the California Assembly in the recent elections.
Democrat Assembly Speaker John Perez recently appointed Alejo as Vice Chairman of the Assembly Local Government Committee, a committee that, according to Alejo “will be in a key leadership role over all matters affecting local government.” Alejo is also a member of the Assembly Budget Committee. It was such big news; I put off posting it for a couple of days.
