It hit the news today as Representative Lynn Jenkins, R-KS announced her Hire A Hero Act of 2010 during a press conference at the Museum of the Kansas National Guard.  H.R.4859 was referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means earlier this year on March 15th.
The Hire a Hero Act of 2010 seeks to promote private sector employment for members of the Ready Reserve and the National Guard.  It would do this by adding a new targetted group to the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) program.
As listed at OpenCongress.org, the bill currently has 21 co-sponsors, in addition to Ms. Jenkins.
