A quick update on the Hire One Act — Idaho’s new jobs bill.  According to the Idaho Business Review, the state’s legislature finalized passage of the bill on April 7th.
My brief review of the bill as published on the Idaho legislative website indicates that the program is effective with employees hired on or after April 15, 2011 and has a 3-year sunset. Clarity will come when the Idaho State Tax Commission publishes new forms and instructions for employers wishing to use the program.
