The Ways and Means Subcommittee on Select Revenue Measures has scheduled a hearing on Tax Extenders for 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 26th. That is in six days.
This is an Urgent Matter for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) and other tax extenders because the policy of the Ways and Means Committee and the Republican House leadership will largely be set by the decisions flowing from this discussion. (more…)

Yesterday, the U. S. Senate voted down an amendment to the Surface Transportation bill that would have renewed many of the now expired tax extenders.
Although I haven’t seen this important detail in other news coverage, Paul Suplizio informs us today that the amendment would have renewed the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) retroactively through the end of 2012. Paul Suplizio is the President of the WOTC Coalition. (more…)PUBLISHED IN
