If you live or work in Iowa, perhaps you had a chance yesterday to hear from Representative Bruce Braley, an Iowa Democrat who traveled the state on Wednesday campaigning for a permanent renewal to the Work Opportunity Tax Credit.
Based on statements from Representative Braley’s office, his message revolves primarily around WOTC’s military veteran target groups.
“It’s unacceptable that Congress adjourned for the year before extending the veterans job creation credit for businesses. When Congress returns in January, it should immediately pass a permanent extension of this credit, making it retroactive to Jan. 1.
Let’s hope that Representative Braley’s colleagues in the U.S. Senate are also picking up on his message.
