This morning’s Congressional hearing on the tax extenders is getting minimal mention this afternoon in the general media. The consensus from all quarters, however, seems to be that it was a successful step toward extending many of the expired tax provisions. (more…)

The Ways and Means Subcommittee on Select Revenue Measures has scheduled a hearing on Tax Extenders for 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 26th. That is in six days.
This is an Urgent Matter for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) and other tax extenders because the policy of the Ways and Means Committee and the Republican House leadership will largely be set by the decisions flowing from this discussion. (more…)PUBLISHED IN

We received word this evening that House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp has agreed to hold hearings in April to explore the tax extenders, including WOTC. The purpose of this hearing is to consider which of the tax extenders should be renewed. (more…)

Jack Markell, Governor of Delaware, has had a lot to say lately about a new proposal to help veterans find work in his state. It’s called the Delaware Veterans Opportunity Tax Credit.
