The California’s legislature’s Budget Conference Committee has approved a version of Governor Brown’s 2011-2012 budget proposal, setting the bill up for votes by the legislature this week.  You can find the committee report here.
The legislation still includes language that would eliminate California’s enterprise zone program if passed. Because this would result in a tax increase, passage would require a two-thirds majority vote by both house of the California legislature.
