We write to ask you to cosponsor H.R. 2213 to permanently extend the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC). After receiving a five-year extension as part of the PATH Act in 2015, WOTC is scheduled to expire at the end of this year.

A new Georgia Veterans Work Opportunity Tax Credit (GA WOTC) has been proposed, based on the federal program.

And yes, when I say, “formerly incarcerated”, I mean ex-felons. People who’ve been convicted of a felony and paid the price. Many of them have emerged from that difficult experience with a new and improved perspective on their lives.
